Terms and conditions
These are the terms for using Filt: the app, the web pages at filtapp.com and everything they connect to. They are short on purpose. Please read them before you sign in; by signing in you agree to them.
1. Who we are
Filt is made and run by Interval Labs BV, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 42139840, at Herengracht 551, Amsterdam. You can reach us at hello@intervallabs.nl. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean that company, and "you" means the person using Filt.
2. What Filt is
Filt is a workout and health tracking app. It keeps your workouts, measurements and other health entries in one feed, on your own or together with a coach or a training buddy you choose. Filt is free to use. If we add paid features later, we will say what they cost and what terms apply before you buy anything.
3. Your account
- You sign in with your Apple account. We do not keep a password for you.
- You must be at least 16 years old to use Filt.
- Your account is yours alone. Keep your devices secure, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account.
- You can delete your account and everything in it, on your account page or in the app. If you cannot get to either, write to hello@intervallabs.nl and we will do it.
4. Changing your mind
Filt is a digital service and you pay for it with your data rather than with money, so you have 14 days after you sign in to withdraw from this agreement, without giving a reason. You will rarely need them: delete your account whenever you like and the agreement ends with it.
5. Your content
Everything you put into Filt stays yours: your workouts, measurements, notes, photos and videos, and whatever the app imports for you from Apple Health. We claim no ownership of it.
To run Filt we need to store your content, process it, sync it between your devices, and show it to the people you have chosen to share it with. You give us permission to do exactly that and nothing more. The permission ends when you delete the content, or when your account is deleted, apart from copies in the backup, which is kept for 30 days.
Only add content you have the right to add. A photo of someone else is their business too; ask them first.
6. Sharing with coaches and buddies
Nothing in your feed is shared until you connect with someone by accepting or sending an invitation, and each kind of entry has a visibility you control. A coach or buddy sees what you have chosen to share and nothing else. You can end a connection whenever you like; from then on that person sees nothing new, though what they already saw or saved on their own device stays with them.
If you coach or train with someone through Filt, treat what they share with you as theirs. Use it only for training together, and do not pass it on.
7. Coaches, assistants and connected apps
Advice you receive through Filt comes from the coach or the AI assistant that wrote it, not from us. We do not check it, and we are not responsible for it. Choose who you train with the way you would outside the app.
You can connect an AI assistant or another app to your account. Whatever it does with your account, it does on your behalf. You can disconnect it at any time under Integrations on your account.
8. Not medical advice
Filt records and shows what you and your devices measure. It does not diagnose anything and it is not a medical device. It is no substitute for a doctor, a physiotherapist or your own judgement. Exercise carries risk; you train at your own responsibility, and if you have a condition or an injury, talk to a professional first.
9. Fair use
Use Filt as it is meant to be used. Do not use it to break the law, to harass or deceive anyone, to get into accounts or data that are not yours, to copy the service or its data in bulk, or to disrupt it. If you do, we may suspend or close your account. We will tell you why, unless the law stops us or it would make matters worse.
10. Availability and changes
We do our best to keep Filt running, but we do not promise it will always be available or free of faults. The app keeps working while you are offline and catches up afterwards. We may change Filt, add and remove features, and we may stop offering it. If we stop, we will tell you at least 30 days ahead so you can keep what you want to keep.
11. Liability
Filt is a free service, and we provide it as it is. We are always liable for death or personal injury we cause, and for damage caused by our intent or gross negligence; nothing here limits that. For other damage arising from your use of Filt, or from being unable to use it, we are not liable, as far as Dutch law allows. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under mandatory consumer law.
12. Privacy
How we handle your personal data, including your health data, is set out in our privacy policy. It is part of these terms.
13. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. If a change matters to you, we will let you know at least 30 days before it takes effect, by email or in the app. If you keep using Filt after that, the new terms apply. If you do not agree with them, delete your account.
14. Law and disputes
Dutch law applies to these terms. If you live in another country of the European Union, the consumer protection rules of that country that cannot be waived still apply to you. Should we have a dispute, we will first try to resolve it between us. If that fails, you can take it either to the court where you live or to the Dutch court, and we can take it only to the court where you live.
